Revaluation Procedure
The university provides specific dates for applying for revaluation. During this period, follow these steps:
- Visit a TS Online Center – Carry your marks memo (available on your result page) and visit any nearby TS Online center.
- Specify Subjects for Revaluation – Clearly instruct the staff on which subjects you want to apply for revaluation.
- Pay the Required Fee – The current fee is ₹700 per subject.
- Wait for Results – The university will publish the updated results after a few days. There is no need to visit the university or college for revaluation requests.
Who Can Apply for Revaluation?
You should consider applying for revaluation if:
- You are confident that you wrote well and passed in most subjects but failed in just one or two.
- You believe you were close to passing (borderline failure). If the pass mark is 40%, and you feel you have attempted enough to score at least that, revaluation might be beneficial.
- You have the financial ability to pay the fees. If you pass in revaluation, you save on exam fees for reappearing in that subject.
My Advice: If you are reasonably confident that you wrote enough to pass, you should take the chance.
When is Revaluation Not Useful?
Revaluation is unlikely to help in the following situations:
- If you left your answer sheet mostly empty – If you did not write enough to get passing marks, revaluation will not be helpful.
- If you missed internal exams – If you failed due to poor internal exam scores rather than the external exam, revaluation may not change your result.
- If you believe revaluation is just a way for the university to earn money – Some students think revaluation is a money-making scheme, and in such cases, applying may not be worth it.
Photocopy Procedure
Obtaining a photocopy of your theory answer sheet is more complex than applying for revaluation. Follow these steps:
- Download and Fill the Prescribed Proforma – The application form is available on the Osmania University (OU) website.
- Get It Attested – Your college principal must attest to the form.
- Pay the Required Fee – The current fee is ₹1000 per subject.
- Deposit the Fees – Transfer the amount to the university’s designated bank account (details provided below).
- Submit the Form at the OU Exam Branch – You must physically visit the university to submit your application.
- Receive Your Answer Sheet – The photocopy of your answer booklet will be sent to your postal address within a month.
The university provides an extended time frame for photocopy requests after revaluation results are announced, allowing those who failed revaluation to challenge their results.
My Suggestion: If your revaluation result is not positive, it might be more practical to start preparing for the supplementary exam instead of spending additional time and money on a photocopy request—unless you are absolutely sure that you wrote well and deserve a better score.
