3. ‘A’ was married before she attained 15 years of age. She repudiated the marriage before she attained 18 years of age. She filed the petition for divorce after attaining 19 years of age. Decide.

4. ‘A’ a Hindu having son’s son. He adopted another male child. Is this adoption valid?

5. ‘A’ a Hindu male aged about 21 years married ‘B’ a Hindu female aged 17 years in the year 2018. In the year 2020 ‘B’ wants to get rid of the marriage on the reason that her marriage was child marriage. Advise her about the legal position.

6. ‘X’ a Hindu male aged about 30 years intends to adopt a Hindu girl child aged about 14 years. Will he succeed in his attempt? Discuss the conditions of valid adoption under the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956 for deciding this case.

7. P is the Karta of a joint family in the State of Telangana having 3 sons, A, B, C and daughter ‘D’. P and his 3 sons have been jointly cultivating the agricultural land which is joint family property. ‘D’ got married in the year 1984. ‘D’ filed a suit for partition in the year 2012 for her share in the joint family property which her father and brothers jointly cultivate. Will she succeed in her case? Discuss.

8. A Hindu boy aged 24 years married a Christian girl aged about 22 years as per Hindu rites in a temple. Whether their marriage is a valid marriage? If not, advise him to make it a valid one and enforceable under the law.

9. X, a Hindu married Z again during the lifetime of his wife Y. The second marriage was consented by all the relatives of X, Y and Z. What is the status of this marriage under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955?

10. A, a Hindu dies leaving behind his daughter, son, father and mother in the year 2007. Distribute the joint family property of the deceased among survivors.

11. The immovable property of a Hindu minor is sold by the father for the benefit of the minor without the permission of the court. Is the sale valid? Give reasons.

12. ‘X’ a Hindu male dies intestate leaving behind his father, two sons and a son of the pre-deceased daughter. Who can succeed to ’X”s property? What is the share of each person?

13. X, a Hindu husband converted to Islam solely for the purpose of second marriage and married Z without dissolving his first marriage with Y. Y filed a case against X for the offence of bigamy and sought direction to make the second marriage null and void. Decide.

14. During the lifetime of F, the father, the grandmother appointed M, the mother of the minor children as guardian by executing a will. M proposed to transfer the properties bequeathed to the minor children. F objected and filed a suit for injunction preventing M from transferring the properties of his children on the ground that he is the natural guardian of his minor children. Decide.

15. ‘A’ files a petition for restitution of conjugal rights against his wife. The petition is dismissed since B had sufficient reason to stay away as ‘A’ had taken another wife. The wife claims maintenance under section 25 of Hindu Marriage Act. Decide.
