  2. Two boys under the age of 12 years committed a murder by stabbing. Discuss the liability of the boys.
  3. A intending to commit theft enters the house of B at night and removes from one of the rooms a heavy box to the courtyard, where he opens it. He does not find in the box anything worth taking and leaving it there goes away. Is he liable for any offence?
  4. A finds a valuable ring, not knowing to whom it belongs. A sells it immediately without attempting to discover the owner. What offence is committed by A and what is the punishment?
  5. One Mr. Ramdas along with his friend went to one Ramesh with a wooden piece, he gave number of blows on Ramesh head, as a result the right side of his head injured resulting in severe injuries on head, face and nose. After two days Ramesh death. Advice how to file a criminal case against the accused persons, what are the provisions to be included in FIR?
  6. A, an anaesthetist during an operation, due to negligence of the anaesthetist the tube from the ventilator came free causing the death of the patient. State whether A is punishable? If so under which provision of IPC?
  7. Mrs. L along with nine members entered into the house of Mr. X, Mrs. L started assault by giving an iron rod blow hitting Mrs. X, wife of Mr.X. Mr. L gave a deadly blow on the head of Mr. X, immediately he fell down and all the other accused persons started beating him and his wife. Both died on their way to the hospital. State how the accused are punishable. What are the relevant provisions applicable to punish the culprits.
  8. A, intends to murder Z, buys a gun and loads it, A has not yet committed the offence. Whether the act of A is punishable or not. If so under which provision of IPC?
  9. A accused was in the habit of setting fire to his own clothes and house. One day he set fire to his wife and 2 children. State whether he will be punishable or not?
  10. Without performing ceremonies, A got married with B. B believing that A is her husband submitted herself and cohabited with him. A knowingly deceit her and made her to believe that she is his legally wedded wife. After few months he disclosed the true fact. What offence did A committed and what will be the punishment?
  11. A thief entered a house and made an attempt to steal, broken the jewel box but after opening the box there nothing was found in it. State whether the thief is punishable or not. If so what offence he committed and what is the punishment?
  12. A intentionally set fire a godown belonging to Y, causing wrongful loss to Y. State whether A is liable. If so what offence did he committed and what is the punishment?
  13. Mr. A shouts at a bystander asking him to help to kill Mr. X. Bystander thought that A is in need he accepted and helped A. State whether X can be punishable under section 34 of IPC along with section 302 or not?
  14. Mr. A entered his mother-in-law’s house at 11.00 pm with the help of a torch light and a knife in his hand. He entered the room where his mother-in-law was sleeping, he killed her and pleads insanity. State whether he can succeed or not. If not, under which provision he can be punishable?
  15. A makes an attempt to pick the pocket of Z putting his hand into Z’s pocket. A fails and there was nothing in Z’s pocket. State whether A has committed any offence or not.
  16. Mr. X got married for the second time and he started harassing his second wife. She filed a complaint against the husband under section 498-A of IPC. Whether she is eligible to file or not?
